Villa reinforcement?
Borussia Dortmund's Donyell Malen has verbally agreed to join Aston Villa, talkSPORT understands.
There is no agreement yet between the clubs, with Dortmund already rejecting a £15million offer from the Premier League side.
Champions League outfit Villa are looking to strengthen on the wings after losing Moussa Diaby to Al Ittihad in the summer.
Malen is seen as a cost-effective solution, having regularly been linked with a move away from Dortmund and his contract is running down.
A Eredivisie winner with PSV after leaving Arsenal's academy as a youngster, Malen played his part in Dortmund's run to the Champions League final last season, but has often expressed his discontent at not being a guaranteed starter.

No it's not Real Madrid superstar Jude, but his younger brother Jobe.
talkSPORT understands that Crystal Palace are again showing interest in the Sunderland midfielder this January.
The Black Cats value the younger Bellingham at £20million, and a deal would certainly fit the transfer strategy of a Palace side looking to strengthen in the winter window.
Oliver Glasner's side have had plenty of success in signing the Championship's top talents, just look at Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze.
In fact, last January they pushed the boat out to sign Adam Wharton from Blackburn in a £22million deal, with the midfielder then becoming an England international.
Bellingham certainly fits the bill as a top Championship star, with four goals and three assists in 23 games this season.

Former England international Ben Godfrey is back in the Premier League, returning on loan after just five appearances in half a season for Serie A title challengers Atalanta.
Perhaps more surprising than his lack of minutes is where he's ended up - Ipswich Town.
Godfrey made his name at Ipswich's fiercest rivals Norwich, raking up 78 appearances across five seasons.
He later spent four campaigns at Everton, and is now back in the English top flight with a side right back in the survival race after a 2-0 win over Chelsea and 2-2 draw against Fulham.

Ruben Amorim admits Joshua Zirkzee could LEAVE Manchester United just six months after joining the club.
Zirkzee joined the Red Devils in a £36.5million deal from Serie A side Bologna, but the Dutch forward has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League.
He has just four goals in 28 appearances in all competitions this season and his Man United career suffered a new low when he was sarcastically cheered off by some fans when being substituted during the first half of their defeat to Newcastle at Old Trafford on Monday.
The 23-year-old didn't start Man United's 2-2 draw at Liverpool on Sunday but almost made a huge impact as he fed the ball to Harry Maguire in a huge opportunity for the Red Devils to get a late win, only for the defender to sky the ball with the goal gaping.
Amorim insists he doesn't want Zirkzee to leave the club but didn't rule out the possibility.
“I want to keep Josh because he gives everything. He's trying in training but we don't know, the window is open," Amorim told talkSPORT at the mixed zone at Anfield.
“We will see whathappens. We just need to focus on on training and to take this for for the next game.
“So it's just one point. so let's let's focus on the performance. take this to the next game.”

Bruno Fernandes has issued a passionate defence of Manchester United teammate Joshua Zirkzee amid the forward's struggles this season.
Zirkzee has just three goals in 20 Premier League appearances having joined in a £36.5million deal in the summer.
The Dutchman's career at Old Trafford suffered a new low when he was jeered off after being substituted in the first half of Man United's defeat to Newcastle on Monday.
And after Man United's creditable 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield today, Fernandes urged fans to be patient with Zirkzee.
“Everyone has been saying that because you know, like even obviously after what happened last week to to Josh," Fernandes told talkSPORT in the mixed zone at Anfield.
“Everyone gets a little bit afraid of sometimes stepping in into these big stages, but we need to understand for the club we play for. we need to understand the demands to play for this club.
“But at the same time I really get frustrated for what happened to Josh, you know because I was in the stands I’ve never seen something like this.
"And it really frustrates me and annoys me because he's a player that always give it all.
“He always tries. As a player that is coming into the team, he needs time to adapt. He comes from a different league. He has huge qualities. He hasn't showed up all the quality but it can't be that from the first game of the season everyone was hyping him.
“One of the best strikers and now everyone doesn't believe in him anymore. We do believe in him into inside the dressing room.
“We really believe that he can give us many good things and we're going to support him and obviously, I would rather be myself in his position against Newcastle then be seeing one of my teammates getting that.”

Liverpool manager Arne Slot believes that Liverpool should have beaten Man United at Anfield.
In the end, he watched his side 2-2, though they could have very easily lost or won the fixture.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, he said: "In the end, we feel a little bit relieved, but that isn't the story of the game.
"Over the course of the game, we created much more chances.
"If I look back at it tomorrow, I would have hoped for more.
"In the first 20/25 minutes, we had three very good chances, but we were playing against very good individuals.
"The game was played mostly in their half, but the last 15 minutes was so open. For the first 75, it was clear we were more in control."

Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister was one of the only Reds players who hit his levels.
The Argentine set up Cody Gakpo's goal and turned in an excellent all-round performance.
However, he was disappointed with what Liverpool served up in their 2-2 draw against Man United.
Speaking to Sky Sports. he said: "The result is not good enough. The performance wasn't as good as we wanted, but it was a fair result.
"We conceded too many chances. When you are winning 2-1 after 75 minutes, you have to defend better, and we didn't.
"It wasn't our best day, and that is why we didn't win."

Bruno Fernandes returned to the Man United starting XI this afternoon after his one-match suspension and delivered a captain's performance.
He set up the Lisandro Martinez goal and used the ball well throughout.
And after the match, he spoke to Sky Sports.
He said: "The position in the table says that we've lost too many points.
"Even today, we can't be happy with a draw because we needed the points more than they did.
"We could have won the game, but I think it's a fair result.
"I am pretty upset. If we show this today at Anfield against Liverpool, why can't we do this every week?
"It frustrates me because I finally think I did a proper performance, and we need much more from ourselves to get something from this season."
When asked if he had an answer to where that performance had been, he said: "No.
"Today, it came. But we now need to look forward.
"I wasn't worried about today because I knew everyone would try their best, but I am more worried about Southampton."

That is the end, and what a match!
Liverpool and Man United have served up a classic at Anfield that could have gone either way, but the spoils are shared.
Ahead of this match, Man United were expected to be obliterated, but they produced the best performance of the Ruben Amorim era so far.
They were brave and bold from the start.
Lisandro Martinez slammed the Red Devils into the lead early in the second half before the home side turned it around.
Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah put Arne Slot's men into the lead, but Amad Diallo redeemed himself from a hilarious miss in the first half with a cool finish.
Both sides had chances to win it, including Harry Maguire at the end, but a draw is probably the right result.
Liverpool 2-2 Man United - Chance
OH WOW! HOW HAS HE MISSED!
Man United get one final chance to win the game, but Harry Maguire misses!
Joshua Zirkzee pops up on the right and picks out the centre-back in the box.
The ball bounces as it reaches him, and he sticks it over the bar from ten yards.
That is surely that!
Liverpool 2-2 Man United - Chances
What a great end to the game!
Down one end, Man United take a short corner to Alejandro Garnacho.
He plays it into Bruno Fernandes who goes for goal, and Alisson Becker pushes it behind.
From the next corner, Amad Diallo has a volley blocked and Liverpool break.
Mohamed Salah picks out Darwin Nunez in the box, but Leny Yoro produces a sublime tackle.
It runs for Diogo Jota, and he rifles in a shot that Andre Onana beats away.
It comes for Conor Bradley, and he tries to beat Onana at the near post, but the goalkeeper just about stops him.
GOAL! Liverpool 2-2 Man United - Amad Diallo
WHAT A MOMENT!
Amad Diallo should have scored in the first half, but he's bagged in the second!
Again, it comes down the Liverpool right with Trent Alexander-Arnold nowhere to be seen.
Ibrahima Konate can't stop Diogo Dalot's cross, and he picks out Amad in the area.
The young winger keeps his composure and fires in a low strike that Alisson Becker gets nowhere near.
He has now scored at the Etihad and Anfield this season.

Darwin Nunez picks up his fifth yellow card of the season, meaning he won't be able to play against Nottingham Forest.
The striker looks directly at Matthijs de Ligt and backs into him, making sure he connects with his shoulder.
On another day, it could be a red, but the referee decides it is only worthy of a booking.
GOAL! Liverpool 2-1 Man United - Mohamed Salah
HE JUST SQUEEZES IT IN!
Mohamed Salah steps up and rifles his penalty into the bottom left corner.
Andre Onana dives the correct way and gets a hand to it.
But the power is too much, and he can't keep it out.
That is 13 goals in his last 11 appearances against Man United.
He is also now level for Premier League goals with Thierry Henry on 175.

Liverpool 1-1 Man United - Penalty
And just like that, this game could be about to turn!
A cross comes in, and Matthijs de Ligt has his arm in the air.
The ball hits it, and Michael Oliver is sent to the screen to have a look.
It doesn't take long before he awards the spot kick.
Mohamed Salah to take...

Right, this could become a classic now because both teams are throwing everything at it.
Man United are being aggressive in throwing men forward, while Liverpool now have four forwards on the pitch.
Strap yourself in for a thrilling last 30 minutes.
GOAL! Liverpool 1-1 Man United - Cody Gakpo
HE'S IN THE FORM OF HIS LIFE!
Cody Gakpo has scored some massive goals this season, and potentially none as big as this!
Alexis Mac Allister pops up on the left and threads a pass through for the Dutchman.
He drives into the box and cuts inside.
Gakpo then unleashes a fantastic strike into the top corner.
After a quick VAR check, the goal stands.
Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez are also being introduced for Curtis Jones and Luis Diaz.

OOOOOFFFFFFFFFF! WHAT A STRIKE!
Lisandro Martinez has rocketed Man United into the lead at Anfield to end a nine-hour goal drought away at the Reds.
It all starts with Trent Alexander-Arnold's poor clearance.
Martinez intercepts and plays a pass into Bruno Fernandes, he returns the ball to the Argentine.
He is at a difficult angle, but leathers a stunning strike in off the crossbar.
Martinez is the first Man United defender to score at Anfield since Rafael.

Another game, and another team trying to score directly from a corner against Man United.
This time, it's Alexis Mac Allister.
The Argentine steps up and delivers a wicked ball under the crossbar that Andre Onana just about deals with.
He punches it into Harry Maguire, and the Red Devils eventually scramble the ball away.
Liverpool 0-0 Man United - Kick-off
Right, we are back underway at Anfield.
No changes from either side, but Ruben Amorim will be the much happier of the two managers.
However, Arne Slot's team talks have proven to be successful since he replaced Jurgen Klopp, so expect the Reds to be better.
The question for Man United will be if they can be more clinical when they get chances.
Liverpool 0-0 Man United - HALF TIME
So ends a fascinating first 45 minutes at Anfield.
Both sides have had chances, but Man United's performance has been much better than recent weeks.
The midfield is combative and mobile, while they've missed two golden opportunities through Amad Diallo and Rasmus Hojlund.
The Reds have been a bit off it and unable to get Mohamed Salah into the match.
They've had two good chances through Cody Gakpo and Alexis Mac Allister, but neither man was able to take advantage.
Liverpool 0-0 Man United - Chance
That is a huge chance!
Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo do well to win possession from Curtis Jones.
They play the ball into Lisandro Martinez, and he curls a delightful pass over the top for Rasmus Hojlund.
The Dane is in on goal, with Alisson Becker undecided about whether to stay on his line or not.
That leaves the far side of the goal open for Hojlund, but he just slams his shot into Alisson's body.
Where was the guile?
Liverpool 0-0 Man United
Well, this is great to see.
Man United fans housed in the away end are singing Joshua Zirkzee's name as he warms up in front of them.
The Dutchman was hooked after 32 minutes against Newcastle United at Old Trafford, and the decision was cheered by some of the home fans.
It was a horrible moment for the forward, so it's brilliant that those Red Devils supporters at Anfield this afternoon are giving him support.

Ryan Gravenberch draws Kobbie Mainoo into a challenge in midfield and rolls him.
The Dutchman advances to the edge of the box and strikes with his right foot.
He sends a dipping effort just past the far post, with Andre Onana struggling to reach it had it been on target.
