Alex Pereira's latest performance had Daniel Cormier genuinely concerned with Jiri Prochazka's safety.

'Poatan' dropped the former light heavyweight champion with a punch at the end of round one before closing the show in the second stanza at UFC 303.

The ex-kickboxer connected with a massive head kick as soon as the fight restarted before following up with a bunch of concerning ground strikes.

UFC legend Daniel Cormier, who was on commentary duty with Joe Rogan and Jon Anik, was so worried he began shouting at referee Herb Dean.

"Stop the fight!" It's over," he said with genuine panic in his voice.

The former dual-weight champion let out a huge sigh of relief when Pereira was pulled off his opponent, he added: " Stop the fight, Herb Dean."

Prochazka was dazed and confused as he tried to immediately get back to his feet.

Dean made another massive mistake by helping him stand up, rather than encouraging him to remain on the floor while doctors check him over.

Pereira walked over to check on his rival, who was stumbling around the Octagon and barely remaining upright in a scary scene at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Pereira started the fight very well as he chopped away with leg kicks.

The 205lb king landed several eye-catching head strikes before shaking off Prochazka’s wrestling attempts and finishing the first frame with a very heavy knockdown.

Prochazka collapsed to the floor like a sack of potatoes when he was caught with Pereira’s signature left hook right on the bell.

The Czech fighter wobbled back to his corner where he had a minute to regain his senses, which were quickly knocked out of him again.

A big head kick really should’ve ended the bout immediately, but the referee allowed Prochazka to take several unnecessary follow-up punches before waving things off after 13 seconds of round two.
